Given the scandals associated with the women Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and the wife of Uriah (Bathsheba), why do you think they were mentioned in the geneology of Jesus?
These women were mentioned in the geneaology of Jesus, because of the roles they had in fulfilling the prophecy of the coming Messiah. In Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Jesus came from bloodlines that embraced all levels of humanity i.e. from Royal bloodlines to common bloodlines. This signifies that regardless of who we are God loves us and is a Father to all mankind. In Romans 8:29-30 "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these, He also called, whom He called, He also justified: and whom He justified He also glorified."

How do you think Peter felt after his discussion with Jesus?
Jesus appeared to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. (Tiberias description - means good vision). It ties in with Jesus singleling out Simon Peter for a couple of reasons, a) Simon, meaning that hears, that obeys. b) He denied Christ 3 times. c) He had seen Jesus twice already after the resurrection & was still not convinced/lacked faith. d) His fishing took precedence over his discipleship.              Simon Peter must have felt grieved in his heart when Jesus asked him 3 times "Do you love me?" for he had erred & strayed. On the brighter side Simon Peter would have been happy that Jesus loved, understood and trusted him. Jesus had faith in Simon Peter and entrusted him with carrying out His work as a disciple.
