Why didn`t Jesus want those He healed to make Him known? To make Jesus known would be contradictory to the Jesus character, For He was humble, loving and compassionate. Jesus came to be the foundations, of the New Covenant, and needed to proceed with His teaching and Healings without hinderance from those that disbelieved or His persecutors.

What was Jesus trying to teach people when He deliberately violated the Sabbath in order to heal people? Gods Holy day was a day put aside for "rest" where by, one does not overexert himself on this day. The scribes and pharisees added so many requirements to this day that it became burdensome to observe it. Jesus was just pointing out the true meaning of the sabbath and how it should be observed and that the disciples were picking a few heads of grain to eat and were not harvesting the crop. Jesus also specified the importance of showing mercy on the sabbath to a fellow being rather then an animal, the significance of this points to a child of the most highest God against a creature of lesser value.
