Why did Jesus cry out, My God, My God why have You forsaken me? Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1.

When Jesus uttered these words, he was at the point of death but preparing to enter Heaven free from sin..

We know from his words prior to his passion that the "man" in him was not looking forward to the experience.

His long experience of torment appeared without hope so that his words of being "forsaken" is the reflection his "man character".

Jesus sacrificed his life as a man for all sin which seperated him from God at the point of his death.

Why is it significant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundred of years before? Note : Mark refers to the old scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, and He is numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many in Jesus life

The significance of the life of Jesus was that is was foretold in the old testament and was meant to save the Jews.

The rejection by the Jews meant Gentiles such as me, were included in the promised salvation.
