Life is cruel and through Jesus, we can recover from our hurts. The Holy Spirit gave Jesus the strength and widsom to see through the offers of the devil? It is interesting that the devil is able to appeal to our inner thoughts is ways that can confuse our normal rational. The strength to resist the devil in obtained in pray and the strength of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a manifestation of God which gives strength to those who receive. People who ask for the strength of the Holy Spirit will only receive it if they are worthy in the eyes of God. What part of Jesus "mission statement" (reading from Isaiah) has the most appeal to you?
