If one assumes that some good people for ages have supplied money just to have a suitable place of worship, we may overlook the comparison between the worshiping at the time of Jesus and our times.

In fact the most important part of all worship in a suitable place, is to pray. However Jesus was alone for many days in the desert in order to pray properly. Therefore large places of worship are not essential for all, to pray properly.

In fact I would suggest that, the essential part of pray is requesting enlightenment to know God's word.Everybody is different on how they request this.
