What lessons did the disciples learn as a result of encountering Jesus in the middle of the lake?

They leant that Jesus was able to know where they were and He was able to easily get to them by walking on water.

The fact that the disciples arrived immediately at their destination when Jesus was on board is significant.

This means to me, that whatever problems we find ourselves in, Jesus will come and give us a solution to these problems.

What does the miracle of multplying bread and fish tell us about Jesus?

There are several points which come to mind about Jesus at this time.

1) His compassion for people.

2) His testing of his disciples to trust him, by asking all the people to sit down so they could be feed with 5 Barley loaves and two fishes.

3) The showing to every body present his ability to work miracles.

4) The significance of the 12 baskets of left overs (for all the Jewish tribes to participate if they wished).
