1325 entries for this category: My guess would be that normally dead people are buried quickly according to the Jewish customs of the time. So that the normal burial rites would have been carried out by the time Jesus had arrived. Therefore when Lazarius was raised from the dead there would have been independant witness' available to confirm that Lazarius had been dead before Jesus had arrived. Why did Jesus delay for two days before going to see Lazarius?
