1347 entries for this category: Jesus was born in bethlehem and during the first thirty years of his life he lived as a traditional jewish man, working as a carpenter. He began his public teaching and ministry in his thirties. During this time he taught a lot of people and also displayed a number of recorded miricles. Jesus's reputation spread nation wide despite his attemps to keep a low profile. Jesus claimed to be God which was a violation of the Jewish law. Religious leaders asked the Roman Government to execute him. He was found not gulity in each of his trials of breaking any Roman laws but the religious leaders successfully argued that he was causing political upheavel persuading Pilate to execute him. Jesus was crucified, which included him being brutally tortured and whipped prior to him being hung by his hands on a cross. He was killed in three hours, however he returned from the dead three days later according to more than 500 witnesses. He was seen over the next 40 days in the southern and norhtern provinces of Israel. He then left the earth by asscending to the sky. ![]()
