Why do you think the Samaritans called Jesus the Savior of the world?

Some of the Samaritans believed Jesus was the Christ just on the strength of the womans testomony.

Some other Samaritans had to go and see for themselves before they concluded that Jesus was the Christ.

Some people accept Jesus just because of anothers testomony about him. Some people have look for themselves before they believe in him.

Every week your wife buys a lottery ticket, one week she wins and comes to you exclaiming that "We've won the lottery!" you may believe her instantly or you may have to check the ticket yourself, either way you have won the lottery (provided you cash in the ticket)

I think that anyone who listens to Jesus' word with an open mind will understand that he is the Savior of the world.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
What stands out for me from these course notes is how the manner of life into which Jesus was born is reflected even up to the present time in Middle East and many parts of Africa.

Life of Jesus
Jesus[Yeshua] is the eternal Son of God who put off His Heavenly Glory and came to earth in Ist century Palestine two thousand years ago as a Man except that He was perfect in every way in order to demonstrate the Love that God has for the human race.  He did this in His ministry of teaching and healing but pre-eminently in his voluntary death at Calvary that all who believe in Him should enter eternal life and escape God's judgment.  When we develop a relationship with Him He sanctifies us and fits us for His Kingdom making us effective in His service to draw others to Him.
