The 'ordinary life' is finite and compared with the infinite it is practically non-existent. Jesus says here that the one living the 'eternal life' has "passed out of death into life" elsewhere he says 'let the dead bury the dead' Lk:9.60. The 'ordinary life' compared to the 'eternal life' hardly even qualifies as life but is more like death. Christ says here "he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life" So we can see that the 'ordinary life' can be defined as that life which does not hear Christ's word and does not believe in the Father. From this we can also see that the 'eternal life' begins and has its basis on hearing the word of Christ and believing in the Father. God is infinite and eternal, He is infinity and eternity. If we are ignorant of Him we cannot live the 'eternal life'. Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Son of God, Thank you for dying for our sins. Have mercy on us, and help us to be good in your eyes. Amen Love ![]()
