How does the "eternal life" Jesus offers differ from the "ordinary life" people live?

The 'ordinary life' people live is not eternal, it is destined to come to an end.

The 'ordinary life' is finite and compared with the infinite it is practically non-existent. Jesus says here that the one living the 'eternal life' has "passed out of death into life" elsewhere he says 'let the dead bury the dead' Lk:9.60. The 'ordinary life' compared to the 'eternal life' hardly even qualifies as life but is more like death.

Christ says here "he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life"  So we can see that the 'ordinary life' can be defined as that life which does not hear Christ's word and does not believe in the Father. From this we can also see that the 'eternal life' begins and has its basis on hearing the word of Christ and believing in the Father.

God is infinite and eternal, He is infinity and eternity. If we are ignorant of Him we cannot live the 'eternal life'.

Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Son of God, Thank you for dying for our sins. Have mercy on us, and help us to be good in your eyes. Amen

Why did Jesus tell the man to take up the mat and walk, even though Jesus knew this violated what the Jews permitted on the Sabbath?
Anyone who had the power to heal could have done so. This man was in great agony for 38 years, and the day for the miracle had come. So, he had to take it, Jesus was very ready to work for every one because He had limited time for His ministry here on earth. When you need a miracle, especially healing, it doens't matter weather Sabath or not. Besides Jesus was greater than the Sabath, He is the Lord of the Sabath, He can do anything with it. If the hour comes for a baby to be born, it doesn't matter if Sabath or not, so are the miracles.
