How does one, in our current day eat the flesh of Jesus and drink His blood?

In the Holy Communion in church you eat the bread which is the body of Jesus and drink the wine which is his blood.

Our physical life is sustained by eating ordinary food, but our spiritual life is sustained by eating spiritual food, i.e. Jesus' body and his blood. Holy communion is not the only time when you eat spiritual food but also the meditation on Jesus' sacrifice could be called eating spiritual food.

In the Lord's prayer we pray "give us this day our daily bread" - now this refers to both ordinary food but also to the spiritual food of Jesus' body & blood.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?

Jesus, Son of God came to earth to save us from our sins.  Jesus values everyone of us.  He didnt distinguish himself from the Samaritans ( For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans ).

In John 4:7-9, when Jesus asked the Samaritan woman for a drink, it shows that Jesus values everyone.

In Mark 12:41-44, Jesus places attention to the poor widow who put in ALL she owned which says alot about how Jesus value the poor.

And lastly in Luke 1:1, Jesus said to invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, because Jesus values these people.  We need to show these people that God loves them. God will never ever leave them.
