The only people who see are those to which the Kingdom of God has been revealed, that is why Jesus said, that blessed are those eyes and ears who have lived to see His day, because earlier prophets and many faithfuls longed for it, and it never came. One is blind in the inside, until the wisdom of God comes to Him, and in this case, it is a gift only from God, through the Christ.

Why did Jesus cause those who see to become blind? In this context Jesus meant those people, like the Pharisees who thought that they know all that is there to know about God. The people who do not know are those who are available to be preached to, and are willing to accept Jesus, unlike them who think that they know, and refuse to believe in the new gospel of the Kingdom of God. This makes them blind, because the only people that see, are those to whom the word of God has been revealed, just as Jesus put it.
