1347 entries for this category: With what Jesus did, I learnt that when the world pushes you to the wall, it's better to slip away to a quiet place and seek God. Sometimes when we pray we do not take time to listen to the voice of God because of various reasons. When one goes away to a secret place to seek the face of God, chances are, that one has enough time to not only pray, but also to listen to the voice of God. Jesus did not want to do miracles outside of Israel, yet the woman`s faith and persistence led to healing. What do you learn from this? When you persist, chances are, that the one you are begging will finally give in to your request, or rather have mercy upon you. I learn that if i ask something from God and it takes long, i should continue to ask, because even if He is not ready to answer that particular prayer, He could eventually, because of my continued asking.

King Herod held power to kill as desired, yet he himself feared many things. What did he fear? Do have have any of his fears? Herod's greatest fear was for His throne. He feared that the Christ would take away his kingdom as people were calling Him king. The three wise men who came from the east to worship the new born child said; A child has been born among the house of David, He will be King of Israel, and we come to worship Him. Herod became so scared for his throne and could not rest until Jesus stopped to exist.
