Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?

Yes, we are all valuable to Jesus it doesnt matter if we are rich or poor, every bone in our bodies, every hair in our heads means something to god.we have to remember Jesus died on the cross for us.

How is it that "desiring to do God`s will" results in a person knowing that Jesus` teaching comes from God?

Wisdom is a gift only from God. No one goes to the Father unless through the Son, therefore one is required to seek, and understand Jesus first, and the will of God shall automatically fall in place bcause God said, "this is my Only Son, in Him am pleased".
