Jesus is love , he sacrified himself because he loves us so deeply, he could have choosen  not to die and have pain but instead he died on the cross  for us in order to live . there is no greater love than this to sacrifice yourself for the one you love. Jesus lived on earth for 33 years just to deliver a message to the world and to the poeple to love one another and  show them how great his love is. He wanted them to repent and to do what God wants them to do in order to have eternal life and then later his resurrection to show us that there is life and that all the good dead people will be risen and live with Jesus in heaven.
