1525 entries for this category: Our Lord Jesus Christ need to suffer physical and emotional pain and not just spiritual separation from God because God loves us so much that He will endure everything for us to be saved from our sins. Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Jesus wanted us to be saved from all our sins, that God sent Him to redeem all our inborn sins,through undergoing such trials we will be saved. Jesus didnt want us to feel the same as what He underwent. He doesnt want us to be separated with God with our spiritual belief that He is the son of God. AS divine and individual He surpassed all these to save the world. To God be the Glory

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) No. Jesus as perfect divine and human. He knew what will happen in the future and with himself.That he faced the struggles that He encountered in His Life.
