It is very important that we forgive others because we as ordinary humans sin knowingly and unknowingly countless times and we know that God will forgive us-hence we extend the same benefit that God gives us to others so that they know we are true followers of Christ.Infact Christ by His death and resurrection has already paid the penalty for all our sins,past,present and future-all we need to do is just believe in Him and follow His teachings in our day to day life.

Why did Jesus take just Peter, James and John with Him to witness his transfiguration? It could be that Jesus was most fond of these three disciples and trusted them to understand His transfiguration better than the others.

Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus? Peter didn't want to lose Jesus or want Him to suffer because he was seeing things from a narrow perspective.God on the other hand sent Jesus to save mankind for which he had to suffer.God's purpose for Jesus was lost upon Peter.
