Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many." Isaiah 53 contains many more matches to events in Jesus` life.

It is significant because now the world and especially God's people,the Israelites saw the fulfilment of God's promise of saving the whole world thro the King of kings...the only catch here is that Jesus was not what the Jews expected..he came to Earth in the form of an ordinary man and questioned the rituals and customs of the Jews which displeased them.

Why do you think Jesus brought the man outside the village before performing the miracle?

Jesus was not interested in being known for only His miracles...He was more interested in saving souls and being pursued by the crowd for miracles would have deterrred Him from His purpose on earth.

What was Jesus trying to teach the disciples? Note: Jesus left twelve baskets full when he fed the 5000 people on the Israel side (Israel had 12 main regions or tribes).

It could mean that the twelve tribes had responsiblity to spread the message of Jesus to the whole world...feed the world with the "living Bread of life"
