Define "Salvation" ? Note how Zachariah (the father of John the Baptist) praises God for fulfilling an old promise (oath/covenant) that "we...should serve him (God) without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life." Salvation means freedom from slavery of sin...Jesus saves us so that we are able to serve our Lord without fear,holiness and righteouness all the days of our life.

Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. Jesus cried out thus because when the whole world's sins fell upon Jesus on the cross,God turned away His face...and Jesus felt totally alone and abandoned.
