Define "Salvation" ? Note how Zachariah (the father of John the Baptist) praises God for fulfilling an old promise (oath/covenant) that "we...should serve him (God) without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of o Salvation is for free for those who believe and have faith!! God always keeps His promises by His son's blood we die with our sins and born again in spirit and gain salvation. Have faith and your faith will lead to obedience and obedience will lead to everlasting life.

What do people think about John the Baptist even before he is born? Note: Sometimes a big introduction is given for a person who then introduces someone even more important. Luke is announcing the announcer of Jesus. They already thought that John the Baptist is God's choosen people that needed to be recognized. Their thoughts were even more greater.
