Peter was tempted by the devil to deny Jesus. because of his fear that the people will hurt him too if they knew he was with Jesus of Nazareth. and Jesus knew the future, for He is all knowing God, Jesus knew that Peter would deny Him 3 times. and yet He still tests and He know's  Peter's heart, that Peter would repent with bitter tears after denying Him three times. and the Lord forgave Him. right? amen! ;-) My personal opinion to this question is. as i read in the Bible about God's love. i think it means that God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. we all sinned, and inspite of our sin. God made a way, He took the punishment that we deserved on the cross. we dont deserve to be loved, because we are not lovable, we all have come short of the glory of God. but praise be to Jesus death and resurrection that through faith and obedience on Him we can be lovable again to God as though we have never sinned in the first place. amen?!! God bless you all;-)
Why do you think Peter was so emphatic and yet so wrong about denying Jesus? ![]()
