"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
No, Jesus did not try to incite His death. He knew that His death is coming so he tried to teach us lessons,  e.g. temple cleaning, etc., for us to know what to do and how to deal with people especially with religious leaders.  Jesus wanted to leave us a legacy, His teachings, and gave us examples on how we should love and obey the commandments of God, the Father.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
No.  But in His own subtle way, He was preparing everyone for the imminent death.  This death could not be explained away before it happens.  People and the disciples close to him and loved ones has to witness the torture and His sacrifice to fully understand what it was all about.  He was brave and like any human had his moments of fear, but He stood firm because He knew that this is what the  Father has sent Him to do.
