GOD bless all!! Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"?

Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"? I think he means here the life on earth that we have and the life with Him that we will have if we follow Him. The life we will lose is this earthly and physical life that we are desperately clinging to and trying to prolong. The life that Jesus says we will gain if we follow Him and the Gospel, is the other life, the one He keepsreminding us us to prepare for and treasure because it will be the true and everlasting life, with Him.

What is "the Christ"? How is it different than one of the prophets? HE IS THE SAVIOR. THE SON OF ALMIGHTY GOD. MORE POWERFUL THAN THE PROPHETS. AND HAS ONLY THE RIGHT TO DIE AND RISE AGAIN.
