What did Jesus mean when he said he "did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many."? Jesus came to earth to serve and give his life to redeem our sins. He set himself as an example by serving others (healing, preaching, feeding, . etc.) and giving himself to others. Satan held us in his power because of our sins and Jesus came to redeem us with His life.

Obedience - for obeying His Father's will; courage - for facing up to the trial and hardship that He knew was forthcoming; trust- in God that He will not forsake him; and faith - in God that He will indeed rise up on the 3rd day as God had told him.
