What do people think about John the Baptist even before he is born? Note: Sometimes a big introduction is given for a person who then introduces someone even more important. Luke is announcing the announcer of Jesus.

Yes, in modern times,an introductory speech is given for the guest of honor in any gathering. John the Baptist was the introducing person for the Messiah. But because of the circumstances surrounding his conception, people tended to believe that John the Baptist when he was still in his mother's womb would be the promised Messiah they were all waiting for.
