Lord Jesus Christ was so angry because the religious leaders are questioning- whether His a God or a simple human being with great talents?, in that time He was Working on sabbath day and it is against the law of the Israelites, But He said it is lawful for people to eat on sabbath but not the priest. Religious leaders are always negate His Godhood.

I think He wanted to demonstrate that in touching even the most contagious of diseases at that time, that love precedes fear of being contaminated.  He also wanted to demonstrate that He is truly the Son of God because he is above and beyond contagion.
