    Kingdom of God
My shepherd once shared these stories to me about the kingdom of God and how we may be able to attain greatness in His glory. The story of Francis of Asissi and Martin of Tours. These were two men who found God's kingdom. These stories may interest and enlighten you along your journey to righteousness.

Francis of Asissi was a wealthy and high-born and high spirited; but wasn't happy. He felt that life was incomplete. Then, one day, he was out riding and met a leper, loathsome and repulsive in the ugliness of his disease. Something moved Francis to dismount and fling his arms around this wretched sufferer; and in his arms, the face of the leper changed to the face of Jesus Christ.

Martin of Tours; he was a Roman soldier and a Christian. One cold winter day, as he was entering a city, a beggar stopped him and asked for alms.Martin had no money..but the beggar was blue and shivering with cold. Martin gave what he had. He took off his soldier's coat, worn and frayed as it was, he cut it in two and gave half of it to the beggar. That night, he had a dream. In it, he saw the heavenly places and all the angels and Jesus Christ in the midst of them; and Jesus was wearing half of the Roman soldier's cloak. One of the angels said to him, "why are you wearing that battled old cloak? Who gave it to you?"..Jesus answered softly, "my servant Martin gave it to me." These two men saw the kingdom of God in the eyes of the little ones...Matthew 25:34-36 "Then the king will say to those at his right hand, "Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom of prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, i was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked ad you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me." May we be able to fill in the empty spaces of hearts to the hopeless, the needy, the sick and the oppressed. they are everywhere, anywhere; and let us share to them what kingdom really means. True joy and happiness is within our reach in the hands and eyes of the little ones.
