Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Jesus called "Love One Another" a "New" commandment as an edification that the entirety of God's law is amalgamated in "Love," intrinsically love of God and love of one another (Mt. 22:37-40; Mk. 12:28-33; Lk. 6:27-35; Jn. 13: 34-35; 15:9-10, 12, 17). It is also His divine way of teaching us to follow the commandments free of pretensions and to obey it wholly with Love and Truth in our hearts.
