The word "compassion" sums it all up in its etymology which is "to suffer together" and that is exactly what our Lord Jesus did for mankind. When my grand daughter died, a good friend of mine, a pastor, was trying to explain her death to my daughter who was out of her mind with the pain of the loss that she shouted to the pastor, "how can you say what you're saying? how can you understand what i am going through? Have you ever lost a child?" Now I am thankful to the Lord because with His eternal grace seeing us through day by day, we are starting to recover and heal from the pain and my daughter and I have become even more compassionate to others than before. The pain we went through is nothing compared to the pain our Lord Jesus went through and this realization enabled us to move on. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the gift of life. May we live it in ways that is obedient to your holy will.
Jesus answers that to be saved, it is not enough for the person to know the Lord, rather the Lord needs to know the person. What does this mean? ![]()
