Why did Jesus notice the widow`s gift and tell his disciples?

Jesus noticed the widow because she gave all that she had and spared nothing. This is what God wants of us, our complete trust, and total surrender. We must give of ourselves to God completely, not just a part of us. THis is also the message that Jesus was trying to impart to his disciples.
