How does the "eternal life" Jesus offers differ from the "ordinary life" people live?

in my understanding ''eternal life'' is forever in the kingdom of GOD.were there is no pain, sorrow ,hunger.

eternal life=was living with GOD to eternity in our spirit

Our ''ordinary life''=was gone not forever.our body ,we are made up of ashes so we will go back to ashes also. Our life here on earth is not forever, the things and everything GOD made it for a purpose,to prepare us to eternity.

Eternal life is life with God and will never end.  Ordinary life is life on earth, the current life we live, which will come to an end sooner or later, whether we like it or not.

Why did Jesus tell the man to take up the mat and walk, even though Jesus knew this violated what the Jews permitted on the Sabbath?
All throughout the New Testament, we read that Jesus has always been unorthodox in his methods.  He did not always follow the old and orthodox rules especially when He wanted to demonstrate something.  In this particular case, I believe He told the man to rise up and walk and carry his mat,(without regard for the Sabbath law), to demonstrate and show the people about one He has healed and that same one has been coming there to Bethesda for the past 38 years.  This, to Jesus, was more important than blindly obeying the law and yet not showing compassion for the lame man.
