Why were the Jews so angry that Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham was born? In the eyes of the Jews,they heard Jesus say "I AM". God is the great "I AM." So they threw stones at Him because He said He existed before Abraham came. Of course they didn't understand who Jesus really was because they were still under Old Testament law. The Jews were adamant at Jesus claiming to be God when in fact He really was. The Holy Trinity consists of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

Why were the Jews so angry that Jesus claimed to exist before Abraham was born? The Jews were angry because they thought Jesus was lying. As a man, He could not have existed before Abraham, and the Jews did not believe He is the Messiah or the son of God. They therefore assumed that Jesus had the demon in Him and could do the supernatural.
