3657 entries for this category: Define "Compassion"? The root words of COMPASSION are CUM, meaning "with" and PASSIO, meaning "suffering". In other words, it means to suffer with someone. Not merely sympathizing, but actually suffering as much as the person. Someone once said that in the ancient times, this word meant that one will cut off a thumb if his best friend accidentally cuts off his. Now, this is quite extreme, but it gives us an idea that the Lord not only understood our problems, but that He also felt them. The bible says for us to "bless the Lord, who bears our burdens daily". It encourages me to know that in the middle of my pain, My Lord feels the same thing I do.

Why was the crowd so intent on having Jesus crucified? The crowd was a mob influenced by the Pharisees who were jealous and envious of Jesus. Getting rid of Jesus would mean that the people would believe in the Pharisees again.

Why do you think Peter denied Jesus? As a rational being,majority maybe will be doing the same as peter was.we will not forget that Jesus is our potter and He knows everything even our future...every one has it's own role according to His will.
