The Authority of Jesus Questioned Jesus was not answered directly their question because He knew it is useless. Because this people are not accepting Him or believe Him as the coming Messiah, even such proof He made, by doing miracle He made at thier presence. Instead He used a wise way to answer their question by asking question of John`s authority because He knew that by acknowledging John as His forerunner and the one who prepare Him of His coming. They must also of necessity of receiving Him as the Messiah.
