I remember reading something about how God is glorified when someone lowly becomes great through Him. And because I think, lowly people are not as attached to material possessions compared to those people who are wealthy, and probably because they mostly trust God to provide for them.

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants? because wise and intelligent have always many question like ...why it should happen? or how he make it ?
