How can one increase his faith to be the size of a mustard seed? (see also Luke 17:5-19)

Mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds, from being the least of seeds, becomes the greatest of all herbs. It mean to say that if we have the smallest faith that is genuine and nurtured it day by day it will enlarge faith growing and strengthening and perform the most difficult undertaking.

Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

I think Jesus was aware of his fate, and just continued doing what he was supposed to do here on earth. Even if by doing so will lead to his eventual execution.

Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?

All of them; Jesus demonstrated God`s love through His teachings. He gave us the good news that we can be saved from our sins. He died in the cross in our stead, as a result we are given abundant life because we were reunited with God. And He taught us that we have a home in heaven with Him.
