Because He need to be understood and grasp by everyone or to his people that there is God/Jesus who love to much and besides that, man by nature, will believe if he will see in his / her eyes. That`s why Jesus need to include physical and emotional pain in paying the penalty for sin so that He can go to the human level of understanding and can be felt by everyone who love Jesus.

Why did Jesus? penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? because Jesus wants the world to witness what he has done for us like giving up his life to save us from sins..
