Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town? Because that is the reason why he became a man. He was to die on the cross for our sins, so that we could be reunited with God. If he were to run away, then he wouldn`t be able to accomplish his mission.

Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town? Jesus wanted to reveal Himself to the many that He is the son of God who is sent and willing to die to save us from sins. Another significance of this is that, Jesus is really true to His words and that to realize what had been prophesied. If this did not happen then, we would not have been saved. This pictured the great love of god to His children.
