If neither Herod nor Pilate found anything worthy of death to convict Jesus of then why was he sentenced to death?

Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? Because they only wanted to see him doing miracles and Jesus knew that the time has come for him to be crucified for the salvation of man. He wanted to obey His Father and His plan.
