If Jesus came to show the world what God is like, what does this parable mean? This Parable means that we should put GOD always in our first priority ,whatever we do we must put HIM above all things....GOD is the creator and HE can do anything what is best for us.The more we will love HIM the more He will be cherished.Just like a lamp it will be put instead on it's stand , not under a basket or bed.

If Jesus came to show the world what God is like, what does this parable mean? This parable means that Jesus is the Light and the truth and only through Him can we conquer the world of darkness. It also means that the words of God must be made known to all who still dont know Him and not kept to oneself. Those who follow his teaching will attain the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven.
