The "Messiah" was predicted to be a direct descendent of David, as Jesus was. His faith made the blind man call Jesus the Son of David. Faith is the inward hope of things not seen - so with the belief of the blind man to see, through the power of Christ Jesus, the Messiah.

Jesus knew he would be killed in Jerusalem, and still he led the way. What characteristics does Jesus demonstrate here? Obedience to God and tenacity of purpose. He knew he would have to endure great suffering and death but still He willingly went to it to fulfill God's purpose in putting Him on earth.
