Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many." Isaiah 53 contains many more matches to events in Jesus` life.

It is significant because Jesus has a purpose and it is a will of God to bring Him on earth to save us from bondage of sin.

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."

Jesus' feeling was that of humiliation but merciful as He knew that they didnt know what they were doing.

Jesus thinks that all this mockery was never a hurt as long as it is the Will of GOD for great is the reward in heaven.
