As related in the old testament, Kings like David were regarded as almighty which led people to assume that his descendant would be the Messiah.So thats how the blind man concluded , Few dared to believe otherwise even when Jesus told them he was Gods only son and was divinely conceived and performed many miracles which no man could.

Jesus defines a great person as one who serves others. What did Jesus mean when he said he "did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many."?

Yes indeed a great person is one who serves others instead of himself. Who puts the welfare of others first above his. And who would be willing to give His life for the good of the many. And Jesus Himself proved this. This is what He meant when He said He did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ranson for many. He came, served and gave His life for our salvation!

Jesus was not born with privileges to be served by others like a royalty or ruler. He was to serve as the sacrificial lamb that ransomed his life to gain forgiveness for mans sins and wrongs. To be of service, one starts by being last through serving humbly so that others will receive you and give you power to lead them,and accept you as their first and recognise you as great among them.
