Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? so that we can enjoy our lives at present with Jesus, He will take care of our future.

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? I believe its because Jesus wants us to put all our trust and faith in Him and in God the Father. He wants us to go on with our lives, following His words, trying to be worthy of His love and graces, and lifting everything up to Him, keeping a steadfast faith.
