What was Mary feeling right before Jesus´ birth? Note: She is described here as an unwed pregnant woman, who was forced to travel away from her family, only to deliver her baby in a barn?

With all the travelling to Bethelem, Mary must be so tired. But with the thought that she was going to give birth to the Savior, Mary perservered, with the support of her loving husband, Joseph, to do God's will.

I believe Mary was feeling alright and blessed when she was about to give birth to Jesus, despite all the hassles, the trials that came her and Joseph way, because she knew she was fulfilling a mission from God, that she was giving birth to the Son of God, and because of that she knew she was in God's hands. Nothing is more reassuring than that. Since angel Gabriel spoke to her, Mary put all her trust and faith to God. Thy will be done!

Joseph and Mary had to leave Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem in Judea to escape from Emperor Augustus decree that wanted every new born child killed as he was foretold that a new born child will be the next king. Joseph is a native of Bethlehem which was once under King David.thus Josephs family will be safe. This made Mary happy that Jesus will be safe.
