Why did Jesus forgive the man`s sins first, and heal afterward? The man's faith in Jesus was so strong that he was delivered from the roof to be healed by Jesus. Sensing his strong faith, Jesus forgave the man's sin first because God has given Jesus all authority on earth to forgive sins.

During the period of Jesus preaching, lepers were considered outcasts, untouchable and considered sinners by the society. Jesus purposely touch the leper to show that his mission is to heal all especially sinners and the inflicted so they will turn to God. Those who do not seek Jesus is missing out on Gods healing power.
