Jesus called 'Love One Another' a 'New' commandment as in the previous times it was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But Jesus changed this in saying that we should love one another unconditionally without any return so if our enemies abuse us or hit us we should still love them as the reward is greater in God's kingdom but if we hate our enemies for what they do then we are the same like them. Jesus gave us this commandment so that we can atleast try and love one another unconditionally.

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Later or sooner Love can win a heart of those who hate you. Jesus loves each and every one of us though we are sinner. He died for us. God so loved the world and sacrified his only begotten son to save the world. Life of Paul was changed. He preahed the same love. Majority of peoples started loving Jesus and follow him due to teaching of Jesus preached by Paul. Many wicked people changed when they realise the love on the Cross. Jesus knows the power of Love. That is why Jesus given a "New" commandment "Love One Another".

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Jesus said "Love one another a "NEW" commandment" because in old testament it was like a kind of tit for tat. But New Testament tells us so much about love and everything begins with love i.e with Jesus.God so loved the world that he gave His only son Jesus to die for us. In 1 cor 13 Paul said about the nature of true love. Faith, Hope and Love always remain. But greatest of all them is love. If we love one another we can do everything just as Jesus had died for us because He loves us also He perfomed many miracles out of love and compassion for people.Whatever Jesus has done is all because of His Love for God and human being. So, since we have decided to follow Jesus we should love one another as He love us.
