Why is it that God is so upset with hypocrites? What makes hypocracy so wrong?

God is upset with hypocrites because hypocrisy is the root of pride, a hypocrite thinks that he is perfect and all others are sinners, This gives rise to hatred of fellow humans as he sees a fault in everyone. It becomes thus impossible to love your neighbour and Satan gets a hold on you.

Why did Jesus first forgive the paralytic`s sins, and only later heal him? What lesson was he trying to communicate?

The Religious leaders were always trying to find fault with Jesus - to pave the way to kill Him. Jesus had to show these people that He was the Son of God- the Messiah - and had the authority on earth to forgive sins and He proved it by healing the paralyzed man and by telling him to pick up his stretcher and go home for he was healed. The lesson He tried to communicate was forgiveness - one was first required to exercise forgiveness for spiritual healing before one could expect physical healing.

Why did the people ask Jesus to leave, even after He delivered the two demon-possessed men?

I think the people reacted in this way because they failed to understand all that was happening - and what one does not understand usually creates fear in ones mind. They could not understand whether Jesus was performing these miracles as the Son of God or was He evil. Hence, they asked Him to leave them alone.
