Why did Peter begin to sink when he became afraid? When is it wrong to be afraid? Peter began to sink when he was afraid because it shows that he has lost his faith in Jesus. Yes, it is wrong to afraid because afraid shows lack of faith in God. So those who has faith in God shouldn't be afraid.
