What was Jesus trying to teach the disciples? Note: Jesus left twelve baskets full when he fed the 5000 people on the Israel side (Israel had 12 main regions or tribes). Jesus was trying to teach the disciples about spiritual awareness not to be like Pharisees who worship God only outwardly.
